Man charged with drug trafficking following drug bust in Metcalfe County

METCALFE COUNTY, Ky. – An Edmonton man is facing multiple drug charges after a search at a residence on Wednesday.
Shortly after 1 a.m., the Barren River Drug Task Force says it was assisted by the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office, Edmonton Police Department and the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations unit to execute a search warrant at the 500 block of South Main Street for a drug investigation.
According to the drug task force, officials found about 35 grams of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, multiple prescription pills, scales, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Eric Bullington, 52, of Edmonton was arrested and faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance (2 or more grams of methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, second-degree possession of a controlled substance (unspecified) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Shantelle Wireman, 30, was also arrested on a probation violation warrant by the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office.
Both was taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
