Man charged with burglary in Edmonson County

BEAVER DAM, Ky. – On Thursday around 3:00 a.m., Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for a burglary at the 1700 block of Louisville Road.

According to a release from the sheriff’s office, a deputy was dispatched to the location after the farm owner was alerted by a camera and located the suspect there with tools belonging to the property owner.

William C. Jones, 22, of Henderson, Kentucky was arrested and charged with possession of burglary tools (attempt), third-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others.

Jones was lodged in the Hart County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement is still searching for a second individual that fled the scene before the property owner and law enforcement arrived.
