Man charged after alleged tool thefts from Bowling Green businesses

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man is behind bars after allegedly stealing several thousand dollars worth of tools in Bowling Green.
The Bowling Green Police Department says on Monday, officers were notified of shoplifting in progress on American Avenue.
Authorities say employees at the store said a man loaded tools into a large tote before going through the self-checkout, only paying for the tote.
Officers say they stopped the man and located over $3,300 worth of merchandise from three area stores.
As a result, 27-year-old Logan MJ Otter of La Grange was arrested.
He faces charges of theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting over $1,000, receiving stolen property over $1,000 and theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting under $1,000.
Otter remains at the Warren County Regional Jail.
