Man arrested on kidnapping charges after incident on Louisville Road

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man is facing multiple charges after police say he drove off in another person’s vehicle in Bowling Green Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., the Bowling Green Police Department says it responded to 1035 Porter Pike to find a vehicle.
Police say a man, identified as Brandon Crutcher, 40, said he was an employee of Rivendell and entered the driver’s seat of a car with a man and his 17-year-old son inside.
Crutcher drove to Casey’s on Louisville Road, where police say the man convinced Crutcher to stop. The 17-year-old was able to exit the vehicle before Crutcher continued south on Louisville Road with the man still in the vehicle.
Police say officers located the vehicle, but Crutcher would not stop.
Crutcher continued on at about 45 miles per hour with officers behind him before he stopped on Louisville Road and Tobacco Road, where he was taken into custody without further incident, police say.
Police say the man and his son were unharmed.
Crutcher was transported to the Warren County Detention Center.
He faces charges of theft by unlawful taking of an auto between $10,000 and $1,000,000, kidnapping of an adult and kidnapping of a minor.
