Man arrested on drug charges in front of Barren County dairy barn

GLASGOW, Ky.- A man is under arrest in Barren County after deputies responded to a suspicious activity call at a dairy farm.

Deputies were dispatched to Patton Road near Tompkinsville Road.

When they arrived, deputies noticed a car parked in front of a milk barn that did not belong on the property.

Deputies say the man inside the vehicle, identified Gary Shannon Hall, 40, of Tompkinsville, was acting like he was asleep behind the driver’s wheel.

Deputies say they noticed a bag of a white crystal substance in his waistband. During a pat-down, deputies say they discovered a glass pipe in Hall’s jacket pocket.

Deputies also say they found suspected marijuana in a bag located in the center console.

Hall was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hall was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
