Man arrested on 17 counts of burglary

SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky. – One man was arrested Thursday on 17 counts of burglary in Simpson County.

According to a social media post by Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest stemmed from an April 20 investigation after a local storage rental business reported thefts from storage units. The sheriff’s office said a search warrant was executed and stolen items from the theft were found in the suspect’s residence.

Jody Brian Brown, 50, of Franklin, Ky. was arrested and charged with 17 counts of third-degree burglary and one count of criminal mischief.

Brown was lodged in the Simpson County Detention Center.
