Man arrested following reported shooting in Oak Grove

OAK GROVE, Ky. – One person is behind bars after an alleged shooting in Oak Grove.
The Oak Grove Police Department says on Sunday around 11:38 a.m., dispatch received reports of a shooting and a victim sustaining a gunshot wound.
Police say they quickly responded to the scene, where they say a victim stated 28-year-old Hakim Bowles of Oak Grove had shot him in the leg during an argument over money. Bowles allegedly fled before law enforcement arrived.
Authorities say they began searching for Bowles, leading to a hiding spot near a community center.
With assistance from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Oak Grove police say they apprehended Bowles without further incident.
Bowles was transported to the Christian County Jail.
He faces two counts of first-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
