Man arrested following drug investigation in Simpson County

FRANKLIN, Ky. – Multiple guns and drugs are now off the street in Simpson County due to an ongoing drug investigation.

The South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force says that detectives leading the investigation obtained a search warrant for a home in the 800 block of West Madison street in Franklin Tuesday.

Once inside, authorities say they found over 1 pound of marijuana, over 1 pound of THC wax, cocaine, cash and firearms.

Garry Bissinger, 30, was arrested at the home.

Officials say they also found a stolen firearm and a stolen ATV.

Bissinger is currently in the Simpson County Detention Center.

He faces charges of trafficking in marijuana (between 8 ounces and 5 pounds), first offense (enhancement), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (less than 4 grams of cocaine) (enhancement), drug paraphernalia – delivery manufacture, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property (firearm), receiving stolen property of $10,000 or more and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
