Man arrested after report of shots fired in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Warren County man is facing multiple charges after authorities say another person sustained a gunshot injury Monday.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a fight or road rage complaint on the 1300 block of Moorman Lane near Yukon Court in Bowling Green.

Authorities say they learned shots had been fired and that one person had been injured.

The victim sustained a single, non-life threatening gunshot injury to the lower leg and later went to the hospital after refusing EMS transport, authorities say.

Chase M. Welborn, 22, of Bowling Green was arrested after authorities say they collected evidence and interviews at the scene.

He faces charges of first-degree assault, first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree wanton endangerment and possession of marijuana.

Welborn remains in the Warren County Detention Center.
