Man arrested after police pursuit in Cave City

CAVE CITY, Ky. – Cave City police arrested a man Wednesday after a pursuit and drug discovery.

Officers say they attempted to stop a black Dodge pickup truck driving recklessly on North Dixie Highway when the vehicle continued East Owens Street.

The driver, identified as Tracy Wright, continued driving recklessly before he stopped near the 400 block of East Owens Street, police say.

Officers say the driver threw suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia out of the window of the vehicle, which was located nearby. The total weight of the suspected methamphetamine was just over 10 grams.

Wright is charged with tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree fleeing or evading police and reckless driving.
