Louisville MBB alum stops in Bowling Green for bourbon signing

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Wednesday afternoon, Louisville men’s basketball legend Russ Smith stopped by the Bowling Green Liquor Barn to begin a statewide signing for the Mr.& Mrs. Bourbon Company, his personal bourbon brand.

The former Cardinal spent time tasting his product with fans and signing bottles, including a special edition ‘Ville’ bottle, and the store still has a limited quantity available as of this moment.

Smith is known for his skills on the court, but he’s hoping his newest passion will provide the same spotlight.

“Most importantly, just something to pass down and be remembered by,” Smith said. “I understand that bourbon is something that a lot of people use to tell stories or put their stories on, and for me, I want to fit right in with the rest of those guys.”
