Los Angeles Lakers Legend Kobe Bryant Dies at 41
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The sports world lost one of its greatest, most influential icons yesterday as Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant was tragically killed in a helicopter accident that took the lives of nine people, including Bryant’s 13-year old daughter, Gianna.
Throuhngout his NBA career, Bryant achieved a slew of accolades, including being named an 18-time All-Star, winning 5 NBA Championships, making 11 First Team All-NBA teams and scoring 33,643 points.
Bryant leaves behind three daughters and a wife, Vanessa.
Fans flocked to Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday evening after hearing the news about Bryant’s tragic death.
The Los Angeles Lakers’ Tuesday night game against the Clippers at Staples Center has been postponed and a make-up date has not yet been announced.
