Logan County traffic stop leads to drug bust

LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – Around 500 M30 fentanyl pills are now off of the street in Logan County.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says that during a traffic stop Friday, deputies could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.
After asking the passenger in the car, Nakeitha Jackson, 21, to get out, authorities say they found a large bag of suspected M30 fentanyl pills.
Deputies say they also found a bag of marijuana on the driver, Adrian Taylor, 18, and after a full search of the vehicle, they say they found another large bag of suspected fentanyl pills.
Jackson and Taylor were taken to the Logan County Detention Center.
Deputies say they later discovered that Jackson had stuffed 45 oxycodone pills and cash into the back seat of the patrol car.
Both men are now facing several charges.
Jackson faces charges of resisting arrest, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, firs offense (hydrocodone), prescription controlled substance not in the proper container, first offense, aggravated trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than or equal to 28 grams of fentanyl), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (drug unspecified) and tampering with physical evidence.
Taylor faces charges of possession of marijuana and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or a substance, first offense, among other traffic offenses.
