Logan County Sheriff’s Office welcomes new police K-9
RUSSELLVILLE, Ky.- The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is welcoming a new deputy to the force.
According to a post on the law enforcement agency’s Facebook page, K-9 Vahur is a 2 1/2-year-old German Shepherd from Amsterdam.
The dog has been paired with Deputy Jason Brent. The partners recently completed 120 hours of handler training at Canine Command LLC. in Gallatin, Tenn.
The dog is trained to detect marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin.
