Logan County man charged after shots fired complaint

LEWIBURG, Ky. – A Lewisburg man has been arrested after allegedly shooting a gun during an altercation.

According to a uniform citation, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched Sunday, June 1 to a shots fired complaint that occurred at the 1700 block of Edwards Road.

Deputies say they spoke with the reported victims, who stated a verbal argument took place at the scene between two of the victims and an older male.

Authorities say the victims stated the male was trying to start a physical altercation.

When the victims left the scene, deputies say they stated the male subject came off of the porch and began firing a handgun at their vehicle.

The citation states three adults and two juveniles were reported to be in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Upon arrival to the scene, deputies say they saw a male identified as 44-year-old Jesse Sitz of Lewisburg.

Sitz was detained. Deputies say Sitz had a heavy odor of alcoholic beverage coming off of him.

Authorities say a female subject on scene stated Sitz had shot two rounds from the gun into the air when the victims were in their vehicle.

Deputies say they located one shell casing on scene.

Sitz was transported to the Logan County Detention Center, where he faces a charge of wanton endangerment – discharge of a firearm.
