Locals join in at annual Coffee with a Trooper

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – Oct. 4 is National Coffee With A Cop Day where all over the country, law enforcement officers are sitting down with members of the community to just hang out.

The Kentucky State Police put their own spin on it calling today “coffee with a trooper” and were out this morning at PJ’s Cafe in Brownsville. News 40 spoke to a well-known trooper in our area who told us that this is a way to forge new relationships in communities and potentially get some info on the area.

Kentucky state trooper Daniel Priddy was out today among the people along with some fellow officers who were just enjoying breakfast with other members of the community. Priddy said it’s a great thing to be able to relax and just talk with people.
