Local swimmer Julie Swack competes in Nationals

BOWLING GREEN, KY – Bowling Green native Julie Swack does not let an age define her goals. Last month, Swack competed in the US Masters Swimming 2024 Spring National Championships.

Held in Indianapolis, Swack swam in three individual events and two relays along with 2220 other swimmers from across the nation.

Swack says her goals in the pool are just to maintain her time, as swimming is a way for her to stay healthy and stay motivated.

“I just need to have a goal to work toward, and I want to stay as active as possible for as long as possible,” Swack said. “I’m 60 and I want to slow down the effects of aging, so I just want to be as active as possible.”
