Local law enforcement help with tornado relief in Nashville

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Following the destruction caused by tornadoes in Nashville, a local police and sheriff’s department are bringing donated items to help with relief efforts.

Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the Scottsville Police Department sent two respective officers and deputies today to help with traffic and other necessities in tornado devastated parts of Nashville.

The community gathered together water bottles, diapers, toothpaste, and other essential items for the law enforcement agencies to deliver.

Scottsville Police Assistant Chief Garrett Wolfe says he went to Nashville earlier in the week and was shocked to see the damage.

President Donald Trump visited the city today as well, declaring it a major disaster.

The declaration provides money that can be used for temporary housing, home repairs, and low-cost loans for uninsured property loss.
