WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Some local pet owners can rest easy thanks to first responders.

On Thursday morning, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said its animal control officer, Lisa Henderson, responded to a call to rescue a cat that had gotten into a tough spot.

Deputies say the pet had gotten into the attic and fallen into an area near the fireplace.

Woodburn Fire Department assisted at the scene with tools to find and bring the cat to safety.

The sheriff’s office said the cat is now free, and all is well.
