Local family loses belongings in house fire, donations needed

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A family who attends Jody Richards Elementary School recently reportedly lost everything in a house fire. Now, the school’s resource center is helping them by collecting supplies.

The identity of the family involved has not been released, but one local resource says they are in desperate need of anything you can donate.

The Jody Richards Elementary Family Resource Center says the fire took place on the night of Sept. 5.

You can bring in household good, like cleaning supplies or kitchen items. They’re also accepting donations for girl clothing size 6 and size 12 shoes and boy clothing in size 8 and size 5 in shoes.

They’re also collecting donations for the mother, who is a medium in adult women’s clothing.

Those supplies can be dropped off at the school between school hours.
