Local Dairy Farms recognized for Dairy Month
Russellville, KY.- The month of June is recognized as Dairy Month in Kentucky. This month is to honor the service and hard work of the Kentucky dairy farmers.
JD Country Milk, located in Russellville, is a dairy farm that serves a 200-mile radius. The daily operations on the farm, like maintaining healthy cattle, pasteurizing and bottling the milk, and washing the returned glass bottles, ensure that locals get the wholesome and nutritious milk they are looking for.
Owner of JD Country Milk, Willis Schrock, “A lot of routine customers, especially since Covid, they come to the farm here and get milk. The locals, a lot of people do. Some drive on Saturdays from Goodlettsville and the Nashville area. It’s their family outing for the day, get their milk, look at the cows and it’s rewarding for our efforts.”
Many stores across the area sell JD Country Milk Products, whether milk, butter, or cheese. A full list of locations to grab yourself a glass bottle of milk can be found here.
