Local bar co-owner arrested on DUI charge

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green bar owner has been arrested on a charge related to driving under the influence.

Kentucky State Police say they saw Jackson Washer, who is listed as a co-owner of The Dusty Boot, swerving and excessively speeding Wednesday night.

According to an arrest citation, Washer is charged with speeding 26 mph or more over the speed limit, reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

The citation states authorities clocked Washer traveling at 74 mph in a 45 mph zone on Veterans Memorial Lane.

A breathalyzer test measured Washer as over twice the legal limit of alcohol intoxication with a result of .181, according to the citation.

The citation additionally states Washer stated he had consumed around four beers before driving and that “he realized that he was in the wrong for driving while under the influence of alcohol.”

Washer, 28, of Auburn, Kentucky, was taken to the Warren County Detention Center and released Thursday afternoon.
