Local band “The Damn Shames” release new album Trailers on Bricks
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local band is celebrating the release of their new album, as The Damn Shames dropped their latest project “Trailers on Bricks”.
The band blends alt country with southern rock, and its members hail from across the Commonwealth, including Hopkinsville, Burkesville and Louisville.
Lead singer Clayton Crowder, who’s a Morgantown native, says the album has been a long time coming, and offers a glimpse into life in small town Kentucky.
“We’ve been writing on these songs for this record for two years now and just kind of drip feeding them a little bit, just releasing them one at a time every few months until we got a good collection… enough to put… compiled together into a record, which is what we’re releasing now. A lot of different avenues were traveled to get the end result,” Crowder said.
You can listen to the album on Spotify and Apple Music, and you can catch the band at The Grove in Glasgow on Saturday, where they play the album front to back.
