Local author giving 50% of book proceeds to the BGWCHS
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- One local author is launching a book to tell the story of her beloved dog, Bandit, while also encouraging others to support the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society.
In her new children’s book, “Bandit the Pound Hound,” author Nadine Sterner writes the true story of Bandit’s life.
Sterner says when she adopted Bandit, he was the saddest-looking dog at the Humane Society, but now he is thriving. To help other dogs like Bandit find their fur-ever home, Sterner is donating fifty percent of all book sales, for as long as they are printed and sold, to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society.
Author Nadine Sterner talks about the why she chose to give back to the Humane Society. She says, “I’m just grateful for all that they (The Humane Society) do to help animals, that really don’t have much hope, and I wanted to find a different way to give back. They have an abundance of animals, and they’re grateful for anything.”
A book launch with Sterner, and the main character, Bandit, will be at the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society on November 11th from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. The book is available on Amazon and you can keep up with bandit on Facebook and TikTok at Bandit the Pound Hound.
