LMPD: 1 dead, 1 injured in shooting reported outside JCTC

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – One person is dead and another is injured in a separate reported shooting Monday in Louisville.

The Louisville Metro Police Department said in a Tweet there is no longer an active aggressor at Jefferson Community and Technical College at West Chestnut Street and South Eighth Street.

There is NO active aggressor at JCTC at 8th Chestnut streets.
We are confirming that there was a shooting outside, and the suspects fled prior to police arrival.

Police say the shooting took place outside of the building. This is the second alleged shooting in Louisville this morning after several were killed and injured at the Old National Bank.

However, LMPD says the suspects outside of JCTC fled before police arrived.
