WNKY News 40 Weather Forecast

After starting in the single digits Monday morning, we are well into the 30’s this morning thanks to a breezy south wind. Temperatures will continue to warm today with high pressure bringing us sunshine mixed with clouds and highs reaching into the upper 40’s to near 50. Tonight will be even milder as lows stay above freezing in the mid 30’s. Wednesday will be even warmer as we rise into the 50’s. Rain moves in for late Wednesday and into Thursday. While there’s not a severe storm threat, there is a potential for damaging winds of over 40 to 50 mph as a cold front crosses the region. We will also pick up around an inch of rain by the end of Thursday night. It will be much colder Friday behind the front as temperatures will only climb into the upper 30’s, but mild weather returns for the weekend and the start of Christmas week along with more rain showers and highs in the mid 50’s.
