Lexington man charged with child sexual exploitation offenses

LEXINGTON, Ky. – A man could face one to five years in prison if convicted in a child sexual exploitation investigation.

On Tuesday, the Kentucky State Police arrested Spencer L. Dobson, 34, on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

KSP conducted an online investigation after they say they discovered the suspect shared images of child pornography online.

During the investigation, officials took equipment they say was used in the crime for further examination.

Dobson is in the Fayette County Detention Center, where he faces one count of possessing or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
