LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – A Leitchfield man is facing multiple charges after crashing and allegedly fleeing the scene.

According to a report by K105, a uniform citation states Leitchfield police were dispatched Sunday morning around 3:20 a.m. to the 6600 block of Anneta Road after a vehicle was located “covered in mud (and) stuck in a yard.”

The citation further stated the vehicle had exited the roadway and crashed into an outbuilding, K105 states.

K105 says no one was found near the vehicle.

About 45 minutes after first responders arrived, K105 says the alleged driver, 31-year-old Patrick Hack, was located by officers while he walked along the 4700 block of Bloomington Road.

While speaking with Hack, the citation states he smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages and displayed slurred speech, according to K105.

Hack was transported to the Leitchfield Police Department, where his blood alcohol level was found to be “well above the legal limit to drive,” according to K105.

Hack was arrested. He faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, first-degree criminal mischief, no operators license and failure to maintain insurance.

He was lodged at the Grayson County Detention Center.
