Lebanon man allegedly involved in disturbance involving gun, flees police

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – A Lebanon man is facing a slew of charges following a short police chase.
The Campbellsville Police Department says it responded to the area of Patterson Court on Monday evening to a complaint of a disturbance involving a man allegedly with a gun.
CPD says the man involved in the incident left the area in a vehicle upon arrival.
An officer says the suspected vehicle was located near Duffy Street and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The suspect fled the traffic stop.
The suspect, Johnny J. Payne, 32, of Lebanon, was stopped after a brief pursuit and was arrested. He was lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center.
Payne is charged with first-degree operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), reckless driving, first-degree wanton endangerment (police officer), speeding 26 miles per hour or more, failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to or improper signal, no operator’s license, and disregarding a stop sign.
