BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In Bowling Green, the Leader in Me symposium is underway and the region’s very own Warren County Public Schools is the hosting school this year.
Leader in Me is a global program that focuses on keeping students at the forefront of the educational process, based on thoughts from the book ‘The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People’ and engages kids in an a more personal way. Sean Covey, President of the company, said he never thought the organization would be what it is today.
Covey said that part of having the symposium this year in Bowling Green was to show off Warren County Public Schools specifically. Warren County has achieved something special in the organization, having three legacy schools and 13 lighthouse schools in a single district, to which he commended the community, the school system and the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce for all investing so much into the kids.
Rob Clayton, superintendent for WCPS tells News 40 that he and everyone else are honored to host the symposium this year and said it “shows a testament” to all those involved with caring for the youth.
