Law enforcement in Glasgow, Barren County hosting school supply drive

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Police and deputies are joining together in Barren County to host a county-wide school supply drive.

The Glasgow Police Department and Barren County Sheriff’s Office are gathering supplies for Glasgow and Barren County students on July 26.

Glasgow police say you can take donations to Walmart and Dollar General at locations along Happy Valley Road, 31 E-Haywood and Veterans Outer Loop/Columbia Avenue in Glasgow.

Items needed include backpacks, binders, glue sticks, Sharpie markers, pencils, erasers, Kleenex, loose leaf paper, college ruled notebooks, wide ruled notebooks, safety scissors, composition notebooks, markers, hand sanitizer, folders, sketch pads, crayons, coloring pencils, construction paper and bottled glue.

Monetary donations will also be accepted.
