KYTC discusses road work in Warren County
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is currently undertaking two major road projects in Warren County aimed at improving traffic safety.
These $16 million projects are designed to reduce accidents and enhance driving conditions.
According to KYTC District 3 public information officer Wes Watt, crews are doing extensive earthmoving and construction work along the new road paths. A key component is the installation of a double crossover diamond interchange—an innovative solution that enhances safety and improves traffic flow.
Much of the roadwork is being done on the side of the road to minimize disruptions for drivers.
As construction continues, residents can expect to see activity across many parts of the county.
A highway safety improvement project is also underway along Kentucky 185, focused on increasing visibility and enhancing roadside infrastructure. Crews will be improving drainage, ditching and shoulders along the stretch from KY 1320 to Jack Simmons Road.
The overall goal is to create a safer driving environment by the time the projects are completed in summer 2026.
