KYTC announces new all-way stop in Simpson County

FRANKLIN, Ky. – A new all-way stop is now active in Simpson County.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3, the intersection of KY 585 and KY 73 in Franklin is now a four-way stop.
KYTC says vehicles traveling on KY 73 were previously required to stop.
Stop signs and pavement markings have been installed and message boards are in place, according to a release from KYTC.
KYTC says a crash analysis of the intersection identified multiple collisions and the change is designed to improve safety.
Motorists are asked to drive with caution while traveling through the intersection.
