KSP State Trooper earns status as Professional Body Builder
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bartley Weaver IV has been a KSP Post 3 State Trooper for the past five years, but that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to various activities the Cave City native invests his time in.
In addition to his role with KSP, Weaver is a competitive eater, has been employed as the Tennessee Titans spartan-like character “Titan man” for a full season, was featured as a contestant on NBC’s hit show “The Titan Games” and, most recently, earned the title of Professional Body Builder after winning the NPC Junior Nationals competition last weekend.
Weaver says that being crowned a champion is something he’s spent the last 12 years trying to achieve, which makes his most-recent first place finish even sweeter.
The state trooper hopes that his story has a positive impact on others and motivates them to continue working hard.
“If you can pull anything from my story, it sounds cliche, but you just can’t give up,” Weaver explains, “A lot of people will give up after a month (or) a year. It will eventually come, you just have to put the work in.”
Weaver’s next competition will be the Puerto Rico Pro, which takes place this weekend from June 26-27 in The Bahamas.
