KSP: One dead in trooper-involved shooting in Martin County

DEBORD, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team is investigating a trooper-involved shooting that occurred the morning of Tuesday, July 5 around midnight in Martin County.

A release by KSP stated KSP CIRT responded to the scene, where the subject was pronounced dead. KSP has not yet released the names of those involved.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing. We will update as more information is available.
