BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you or someone you love is battling addiction, the Kentucky State Police want to help.

Under the KSP’s Angel Initiative, anyone battling addiction can come to any KSP post and get help finding a treatment center. No questions asked.

The KSP started this Angel Initiative back in 2016 to save lives.

Already, the KSP helped about 200 people find treatment with this program.

Kentucky State Police victim advocate Shannon Pickett says, “Rehab is something that’s not a one and done. We want to be there to offer as many opportunities for people who want to beat their substance abuse problem as possible.”

Kentucky State Police Post 3 Trooper Daniel Priddy says, “There’s a lot of people out there that suffer from substance abuse that want help and don’t know how to get it… This isn’t being soft on crime, it’s being smart on crime.”

Enrolling is easy. Just walk into any of the 16 KSP posts across the commonwealth and ask for help. You can click here to learn more about the program.
