UPDATE: Whitley County man found safe following Golden Alert

CUMBERLAND FALLS STATE RESORT PARK – The Kentucky State Police says Walter Dewayne Dale, who was reported missing, has been found safe.
Authorities say a civilian told them Tuesday afternoon that he had heard a male yelling for help near Eagle Falls at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park.
Ranger Gerald Bishop, Sgt. Barnett and Col. Crockett responded to the scene at Six Gun City, an old western theme town park, along with search and rescue.
According to troopers, it was determined the fastest route was by boat across the river, which resulted in emergency management sending a boat and team to the beach at Cumberland Falls.
Rescuers then brought Dale across the river and he was transported by Whitley County EMS to Whitley County Airport for transport to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
This rescue was also assisted by Corbin Fire, Woodbine Search and Rescue, Whitley County Emergency Management, Whitley County Police Dept., Kentucky State Police, Eagle Sawyer Fire Dept., Williamsburg Police Dept., McCreary County EMS, Whitley County EMS and McCreary County Emergency Management.

CUMBERLAND FALLS STATE RESORT PARK – The Kentucky State Police says it is actively working a missing person investigation in Cumberland Falls State Park Resort.
Troopers say they are searching for 35-year-old Walter Dewayne Dale of Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Dale was last seen around the entry of Eagle Falls trail around 4 p.m. Sunday evening, authorities say.
Dale is believed to be traveling on foot and is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 pounds with brown air and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans and a black backpack.
