KSP investigating fatal collision in Hardin County

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police says two people have died following a collision in Elizabethtown.
KSP says it responded around 6 p.m. Monday to investigate a fatal collision at the 3600 block of Shepherdsville Road.
According to authorities, a preliminary investigation revealed Hunter Bailey, 27, of Hardin County was traveling north in a 2005 Toyota Corolla on Shepherdsville Road when Bailey’s vehicle crossed the center line for unknown reasons.
Authorities say Bailey’s vehicle then struck Lisa Pearman, 54, of Hardin County as she was traveling in a 2004 Ford Ranger.
Bailey was pronounced dead by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office.
Pearman was flwon to the University of Louisville Hospital for life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The investigation remains ongoing.
