KSP investigates fatal Floyd County crash
PRESTONSBURG, Ky, – A car crash in Floyd County has claimed the life of a woman.
Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call to a two-vehicle collision on State Highway 114 in Prestonsburg at approximately 9:30 pm on Sunday.
The investigation determined that a vehicle operated by Keith Anderson crossed the center line and struck a vehicle operated by Kenny Auxier. Both operators were transported to a medical facility for treatment.
A passenger in Auxier’s vehicle, Kayla Elam, was transported to a medical facility and later died due to injuries sustained in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing by KSP Accident Reconstructionist, Detective Josh Scott.
KSP Pikeville Post was assisted on the scene by Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel, Prestonsburg Fire Department, and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
