KSP in search of murder suspect in Madison County home invasion
MADISON COUNTY, Ky. – Kentucky State Police are searching for a man suspected in a violent home invasion.
The invasion and murder took place Tuesday at a home on Willis Branch Road in Madison County, according to a social media post by KSP.
Police allege Shannon V. Gilday, 23, of Taylor Mill, Ky, forced his way into the home 4:00 that morning with a rifle. Jordan Morgan, 32, was fatally shot in bed.
The suspect is accused of then confronting the homeowner, former Kentucky Representative Wesley Morgan. The suspect is alleged to have shot him three times, giving him non-fatal injuries before fleeing the scene.
Gilday is considered armed and dangerous.
He is believed to be driving a white 2016 Toyota Corolla with minor damage to the front grill and a license plate of 379-VMJ.
Gilday is approximately 6 feet tall and 167 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Surveillance footage shows him wearing a camo or tactical style pants and jacket, dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, gloves and a light-colored facemask.
