KSP asking for photos to celebrate National Teddy Bear Day

The Kentucky State Police is asking the public to show how their Trooper Teddy is making a positive impact.

The Trooper Teddy above is pictured on Paulista Avenue in Sao Paulo, Brazil. According to a social media post by KSP, “Giovanna says her bear reminds her of her memorable visit to America and adds that the bears can make life a little smoother during hard times.”

If you would like to have your photo featured on social media for National Teddy Bear Day on Friday, Sept. 9, you can submit photos the following way:

1. Take a photo of your bear or you and your bear together at a location.
2. Submit the photo by email to KSPSocialMedia@ky.gov with a location description.
3. Tell KSP why you love your Trooper Teddy.
4. If your bear has a name, share it with KSP!

All submissions must be made by Wednesday, Sept. 7 at noon EST. KSP stated the concept of the program is for troopers to provide stuffed animals to children during traumatic experiences, such as a car crash, child or sexual abuse cases and distribute to terminally ill children.
