Kids paint a picture with ice at Tinkergarten

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Wednesday, local children learned how to break the ice.

At Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, the children painted a picture of the winter sky with colored ice cubes on a sheet by stomping on them and mixing colors together.

Tinkergarten is an early education program inspired by outdoor play.

Each of the lessons hone in on early development skills as the kids are inspired by nature during playtime.

Lindsay Walden, the Tinkergarten leader, says this taught the children persistence through the cold as well as well as many other things.

The lesson plans are designed around each season and the kids lead the lessons through guided play.
