Kids meet first responders at Glasgow event

GLASGOW, Ky. – First responders from the fire department, police department and EMS gathered in Barren County at the Hero Center this weekend.

There, they showed their vehicles and spent time teaching the community kids about the different jobs they do.

Kids were able to talk to each group to learn more about their day-to-day, and, of course, get a look inside of the different vehicles.

Inside the gym, Kentucky Kids on the Block came by to teach kids about the dangers of smoking and vaping and how they can help spot and stop child abuse.

Connecting with the kids in the community is  a top priority for the first responders of Barren County. It’s a way to make sure the kids know they are always there to help.
