Kentucky State Police Angel Initiative
SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY- Since 2016, Kentucky State Police’s Angel Initiative has been transforming lives.
When you enter any KSP post and you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, an “Angel” will put you in touch with rehab facilities and help you find your way back to wellness by becoming a better version of yourself without judgment or the fear of being arrested.
KSP trooper Katan Parker shares the value of this program and how it impacts people.
He says, “I’ve seen the program actually work. I got to see the guy that I had transferred transported to the scene. It’s been a few years, but I mean, he looked like a different person when he came out, and I’d like to see this stuff happen more often.”
KSP urges everyone that you will not be charged with any crimes with the Angel Initiative. This is completely voluntary. In addition, people can safely get rid of any illegal items they may have without worrying about legal repercussions. For more information, call or visit the KSP Post near you.
