Kentucky emu named ‘Mystery’ found after getting loose in Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. – An emu is home safe after last weekend’s storms caused her to get loose in Kentucky.
According to a social media post by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, a pet emu named Mystery escaped her shelter after it was destroyed in Sunday’s storms, along with her fencing.
However, the agency confirmed Mystery was thankfully found as of Monday night.
The bird initially went missing from the Salt River Road area in Eastview in Hardin County, a spot located between Hardinsburg Road and Sonora Hardin Springs Road.
The latest news is a happy ending, with a “Mystery” solved.
