Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – There’s a lot of police in town but don’t worry, they’re not here to pull you over. The Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police is an organization that includes every police chief in the state, and once a year they all come together to fellowship and discuss matters that impact their livelihood.
The conference typically takes place in the stomping grounds of the sitting vice president of the organization and this year that happens to be Bowling Green Police Chief Michael Delaney.News 40 spoke to Delaney about the conference, he said it hasn’t been held in Bowling Green in about 15 years so this year was a big deal to him and the department.
Delaney said this year, they’re spending the week on mental health and trying to provide resources to chiefs across the state to take home in hopes of running an event stronger department.
