Members of Silver Sneakers share culture at International Party

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Silver Sneakers is a fitness club that Bowling Green Parks & Recreation runs and in addition to exercising, they also party.

It’s their second annual party, a way to socialize as well as celebrate all the different backgrounds that make up the club. Some people may be from Italy, some people may be African, but they are all like family at the end of the day.

The idea came from Mr. Johar, the oldest member of the club who at the time was 90 years old. News 40 spoke to Johar on Friday, who told us that the idea just came to him one day, adding a new layer to what the group does.

News 40 also spoke to Mary Teresa Krutulski, who said that learning about each other is the most fun part of the party for her.
