Inmates, woman charged after illegal contraband enters Allen Co. jail property

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Several people are facing charges after police say they are connected to an arrangement to get illegal contraband into an area of the Allen County Detention Center.
On Monday, the Scottsville Police Department says the Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force received a call from the Allen County Detention Center in reference to a male throwing items over the roof and into the jail recreation area.
Police say they later found at least one male inmate had arranged a transaction of illegal contraband to be dropped off in that area.
According to Scottsville police, video evidence showed a male subject had exited a parked vehicle near the jail before walking to it. Police say he then disposed of contraband into the jail recreation area.
On Tuesday, police say crime task force detectives found the vehicle and male from the video off of Cedar Cross Church Road in Scottsville. According to Scottsville police, they determined Natalie Plumlee, 43, of Scottsville paid the male subject to ride to the Allen County Detention Center and dispose of illegal contraband.
After a search of Plumlee’s residence, police say she faces charges of first-degree promoting contraband (complicity), engaging in organized crime, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Additionally, police say inmates Joey Proctor, 43, of Bowling Green and Jadon Meredith, 22, of Scottsville were involved in the case.
Both face charges of first-degree promoting contraband (complicity) and engaging in organized crime.
All three were taken to the Allen County Detention Center.
