Incumbents reclaim seats in important Edmonson County races

In Edmonson County the two most highly contested races were for County Judge Executive and Sheriff.

The numbers came in as dozens gathered at the community center across from the Courthouse.

Sitting Republican Sheriff Shane Doyle took the win with 2,699 votes over Democrat Charles Pendelton’s 1,760.

Sheriff Doyle says he’s proud to continuing serving the county.

In the race for Edmonson County Judge Executive, sitting Republican County Judge Executive Wil Cannon keeps his seat with 2,589 votes over Democrat Mark Woosley’s 1,917.

This year, being his fourth in office, he plans to continue the growth, success and appeal of the county.
