Robbins helping Gophers keep up with crowd of Big 10 big men

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Liam Robbins is a late-blooming 7-footer who is making a significant impact in his first season with Minnesota. The Big Ten had quite the collection of big men waiting for him to play against after he transferred from Drake. Beginning with the national scoring leader Luka Garza of Iowa, five of the top 20 scorers in the Big Ten are 6-foot-10 or taller. That list includes Kofi Cockburn of Illinois, Trevion Williams of Purdue, Hunter Dickinson of Michigan and Robbins of Minnesota. Robbins picked the Gophers in part because his uncle Ed Conroy is an assistant coach on the team.
